biography

    I’m a musical drummer who wants more than anything to be in a creative band. Being a “hired gun” isn’t really attractive. I’m happiest working with others to create music.

    I grew up in No.California and cut my teeth playing to urban and hard rock music. All objects and surfaces were game for my drumsticks.

    I’ve since expanded and am always seeking out tonalities that help express emotions or paint “pictures” within a song. But sound modules, etc., are just that. Playing is where it’s at.

    Next to drums, I focus a lot of my energy on recording. My recording rig is centered on ProTools. I’m quite passionate about music, have studio/live experience and want to be a full-time musician. Unfortunately, this work thing keeps getting in the way?

    I’m currently working with a brilliant guitar player on writing/recording demo material. We were almost signed while playing together in a previous band. We want to do this right. We have gumby-like egos and want to make great music. If you feel the same way, please contact me. Recording and finding a bass player and singer are our top priorities.

    We have amassed roughly 40 songs thus far. They are all subject to change for vocals, etc. I’ll post some samples to to my website (www.groovenet.us) when they are complete.
