Born in Toronto and having lived her life in both the US and Canada. Jessica Bernard, stage name “Dominca” seems destined for international recognition. Jessica began her singing career literally in diapers. She continues to remain focused on achieving her dream of becoming a respected singer/songwriter. She was influenced by her Mother, a talented vocalist who also dedicates her life to the pursuit of art through song. Jessica grew up in a musically gifted family. She performs for and with her aunts, uncles and cousins at family reunions. She has won many talent contests and performed at age five for a crowd of 5000. She discovered her song writing ability just as she entered her teens. She writes with a maturity level that can only be described as one with an “old soul”. Along the way, she has been influenced by the likes of Sade and Tina Turner. Jessica’s vocal quality reflects these influences as well as many more. She performs professionally throughout North Carolina and has a loyal fan base. The music posted on Tonos is her first CD release of original material. This is just the tip of the iceberg! The CD titled “Sacred” is a collection of her impressions of love and life. Jessica performs her original, “The Brave”, a heart felt tribute to 911.
